In this article, we will review the PPM Express AI Project Digest.
AI Project Digest gives you access to AI-driven functionalities from PPM Express directly. The AI Project Digest allows Project managers to generate summary information on their Project data and send this summary as an email to stakeholders, team members, or any other recipients.
AI Project Digest aims to save time during Project summary creation and boost daily work efficiency.
When the PPM Insights AI is enabled on your tenant, the AI Project Digest setting becomes available from the Project dashboard menu (only for users with Edit permission).

- Budget Information
- Risks
- Issues
- Action Items
- Change Requests
Select the data sets you need to generate a digest for several sets of data at once. The selection will be preserved per user.
Also, in this article, we will review each data set as a separate digest, but you can include several data sets and create one digest for them at once. For example, select Project Attributes, Risks, and Issues data sets and create a digest for them.
Project Attributes
The Project Attributes digest will create a summary of the primary Project details (Name, Dates, Managers, etc).
To create a Project Attributes digest, select it from the list and click Generate.
When the digest is generated, you can adjust it to your needs: make it brief, expand, or get data in bullet points. It is also possible to manually edit the digest, by deleting the information or adding new data to it.
Also, you can copy the digest text to the clipboard.
Project Attributes included in the digest: Project Name, Description (if not empty), Start Date, Finish Date, Project Manager(s), Project Progress, Schedule Progress in % (only for PPM Express, not for external systems), Project Stage, Connected System(s).
If the field value is empty or N/A, it is not included in the digest.
Click Next once you are ready to send the digest.
By default, the digest is created as a text document. If needed, you can switch to the HTML format to add visuals. Digest in the HTML format can also be copied to the clipboard.
In the Recipients field provide the emails where the digest will be sent. You can select from the available PPM Express users or type in any other email. Click Send.
The email will be sent to all the recipients and also to the email of the person who created the digest.
When the digest is sent, the Recipients field will be cleared, but the window with the digest information will not be closed. You can close it or send it again to other users.
The Leave Feedback option allows sending your feedback to the PPM Express Team.
Statuses
The Statuses digest creates a summary of all Project statuses and their descriptions.
If the status is renamed (e.g.: the Overall Status to Overall Project Status), its new name will appear in the digest. However, the custom statuses are not included in the digest, only status categories will be taken into account.
Milestones
The Milestones digest creates a summary of the Completed Milestones for the past 30 days, Upcoming Milestones for the next 30 days, their status and dates, and Overdue Milestones.
The title, status, and due date will be given for each milestone in the digest.
Schedule Information
The Schedule Information digest creates a summary of the roll-up values of the PPM Express schedule and Overdue tasks.
The list of Overdue Tasks is not provided, only their number. If the roll-up fields are empty, they will not be included in the digest.
Budget Information
The Budget Information digest creates a summary of the totals for budget, forecast, actual, and baseline.
When the digest is created, it will show the comparison of the values included in it.
Risks
The Risks digest creates a summary of the active risks with high impact.
If the impact value of the risk is higher than 6, it will be included in the digest showing the risk title and due date. If there are more than 10 risks, only the first 10 active risks with high impact will be shown in the digest list.
Issues
The Issues digest creates a summary of the active issues with high priority.
If the Priority field value for the issue is High, it will be shown in the digest. If there are more than 10 issues, only the first 10 active issues with high priority will be shown in the digest list.
Action Items
The Action Items digest creates a summary of the active action items.
If there are more than 10 action items, only the first 10 active action items will be shown in the digest list.
Change Requests
The Change Requests digest creates a summary of the pending change requests.
The pending Change Requests in the active status will be included in the digest list. If there are more than 10 change requests, only the first 10 pending active change requests will be shown in the digest list.
