Data synchronized from Project for the web connection

This article describes the data synchronized to the PPM Express project from an imported/linked Project for the web project.

In case when PPM Express project is connected to a Project for the web project, the following PPM Express project sections will be populated with data synchronized from Project for the web, and the following information will appear in the PPM Express project:

Summary

In the Summary section, the timeline and % Complete display data synchronized from Project for the web, showing the project progress. 

Team

The Team section displays a list of all resources with assignments on Project for the web project with a number of tasks assigned to each resource grouped by the task progress and status.

  • In Progress Tasks – 1 – 99% value in the field ‘Progress’
  • Completed Tasks – 100% value in the field ‘Progress’
  • Not Started Tasks – 0% value in the field ‘Progress’
  • This Week Tasks – Tasks that are executed this week
  • Late Tasks - Tasks with a finish date less than Today and progress set to 0 – 99% value in the field ‘Progress’

Schedule

This section includes four cards where you can quickly review the task statuses, progress, and summary. All the task numbers are clickable and open the Project for the web task page in PPM Express, filtering out the tasks by the selected value.

You can review tasks synchronized from Project for the web on a separate tasks page.    

Please note: Completed and inactive PPM Express projects are not included in data synchronization by schedule (if Project Progress is set to Completed, On Hold, or Cancelled and/or if Project Stage is set to Closing, Suspended, Cancelled and/or if the Overall Project Status is set to Done).

Key Dates

Tasks with zero (0) days Duration will be synchronized to the Key Dates section as Milestones. 

Details

The fields in the Details section will be populated with values synchronized from Project for the web according to the Project Field Mapping.
